These benefits include:
Health Insurance - Effective 1st of the month after hire date
- Choice of three health care plans: HMO Illinois, Blue Advanatage HMO, Blue Cross PPO
- Coverage is provided for employees and eligible dependents
Dental Insurance - Effective 1st of the month after hire date
- Choice of two dental plans: Predent Traditional or Plan 630 (HMO)
Vision Program
- Depending on medical plan exams are free or discounted
- Discounts on contacts and/or glasses
- $125-$150 material allowance every 2 years
401(k) plan
- Employees are immediately eligible to enroll in the company’s 401(k) Plan
- May choose to make before-tax contributions of 1-50 percent of each paycheck
(This is subject to IRS limits and other plan limits) - The company matches the first four percent of contributions dollar for dollar
The next two percent are matched with 50 cents on the dollar - Participants become fully vested in the employer matching contributions after two years of eligible service
Company paid Life insurance - Effective 1st of the month after hire date
- Company- Paid Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment.
Coverage equals to one or two times annual salary which goes into effect the first of the month after hire date - Additional Voluntary Life and AD&D are available at the employee's cost
Dependent Life Coverage
- Several levels of dependent life coverage are available at employees cost who are either married and/or have children
Holidays
- 9 paid holidays including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas (details announced each year)
Company paid Short and Long Term Disability benefits
- Non-exempt (hourly) full-time employees effective the first of the month after 6 months of employment
- Exempt (salaried) full-time employees effective on date of hire
- Short Term = 75% of basic salary = duration of 26 weeks
- Long Term = 66-2/3% of basic salary
Flexible Spending Accounts
- Dependent Care FSA - $5,000 in pre-tax dollars may be deposited in dependent care account per year
- Health Care FSA - $2,500 pre-tax dollars may be deposited in health care account per year
Paid Time Off (PTO days)
- Accrual basis and is based on years of service and level of position
- Increases with years of service
- Up to 80 hours can be carried over to the next year
- An additional 16 hours over the 80 hours can be bought back
Employee Assistance Program
- No cost to the employee
- The EAP is a benefit offered to you and your immediate family members
- Provides confidential and professional assessment, counseling, referral, and follow-up services to employees with personal problems or issues, such as physical illness, mental health, marital or family distress, alcohol/drug abuse, stress, financial, legal or other concerns
- Counselors are available 24 hours, 7 days a week
Wellness Programs
- Hallmark promotes wellness programs to help you develop a healthier lifestyle. Because good health is good business, the company supports improving the quality of life for its employees by providing numerous programs.
Educational Tuition Reimbursement
- Eligible after one year of employment
- Classes must be directly related to your position or career path at Hallmark
- Reimbursement up to $5,000 per calendar year for class and study materials based
on final grade
Adoption Assistance
- Hallmark will pay 100% of eligible expenses up to $2,500 regardless of the outcome
of the adoption (Eligible after one year of employment) - Hallmark will pay a maximum of two adoptions per calendar year (Eligible after one year of employment)
Service Award Recognition
- Employees recognized for Service each five years with dinner and company gift
Employee Referral Program
- We recognize that employees are Hallmark’s greatest asset, and a referral bonus of $750 for any Hallmark employee referring a candidate which is hired and employed for six (6) months
Bereavement Leave
- Up to 3 paid bereavement days for immediate family
- One paid bereavement day for non-immediate family member
